Grand Bouvier Suisse Data and Information
One of the known origins of the Great Swiss Mountain dog back to the first century C., when were the first introduced in Switzerland by the Romans. Others say, however, that Great Swiss Mountain Dog has always been used by Phoenician traders.
One thing is certain. This race dog is a product of the coupling of foreign-mastiff type dogs arriving in Switzerland with their native dogs.
