Dog immune to Xylitol?

My book of eight puppies recently eaten a package of Orbit sugar-free gum containing xylitol. I do that much part of it until I mentioned it to a friend who told me Xylitol is deadly to dogs. Three hours after it began to eat my puppy to the vet ran emergency although it was perfectly fine. His blood sugar was fine when we got to the emergency. Was maintained overnight. While she was there his blood sugar never dropped below 80. His liver was tested three times and very normal. After all I read about xylitol and dogs, I am surprised (and relieved) that my dog can eat well, without adverse effects. I have curiosity to know how a substance can affect dogs as variable, is my dog out of this? She obviously can not be near the gumline after this fiasco, but I'm just curious.

I do not think that has nothing to do with his immunized against it, because it is toxic! I that because they took responsibility and got to the vet when it has saved my life! I think your dog is one of those the very fortunate, because you care enough, do not expect to receive desperately needed care and not let it get to the point where it affected his whole system! Thanks for being such love, care, responsible owner of this puppy. He is very lucky that you have and are very fortunate to have him. I'm so happy that so well, and I hope he continues to do well. Enjoy your child! Add: to hear so many depressing things, so many individuals on this site, which is not the responsibility of owning a dog seriously as to make what is supposed to, and provide care for this. It's nice to hear stories like yours, where the owner does not care enough for your dog (s) and take care of them and have great things, because it took immediate action!
