Dog Training info

I train you to train your dog basic manners...

This includes sit, down, come, stay, crate training, waiting and not bolting, and a few tricks if interested!  I also offer off leash training for more advanced dogs.

I also train you how to work towards your dog earning his/her Canine Good Citizen award!  This is the stair step to showing the world your pup is a well behaved dog... and also working your way to competing, showing, or therapy work.

I welcome any breed and any behavioral issue.

I work with dog aggression, fear, house training and other unwanted issues as well.

Please e-mail or call for further information.  Thank-You!

Prices: Private sessions are $60 per session and last approximately one hour, depending on the issue.  Once a private session has been completed, most dogs will be approved to attend class.  This is to help build a foundation for you and your dog so that we can work on more advanced training during our class sessions.  Class sessions are held each thursday at 6pm and will be on a continual basis (starting 2/18/10), so if you're interested you may join at any time!  The cost to attend is $10 per dog, you may pay as you go, or a month in advance.  It's your choice!  Classes may be cancelled due to the weather or holidays, feel free to call or text me if you are unsure.

Please contact me if you have questions or would like to set up a training time for your dog(s)!  Thank-You!

Most classes and park sessions are held at Sierra Bicentennial Park in Clovis, CA.  The park is located south of Herndon on Sunnyside Ave.

About the trainer

Debbie has over fifteen years experience training dogs, and studying their behavior.  She is an Associate Member of the International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP).  She has been professionally training them for approximately five years.  Due to college she has recently been inactive in competitions, but continues to study behavior and work her dogs on a regular basis.  She recently graduated from fresno state with a Criminology degree.  She is currently working to enlarge her business and gain experience in the law enforcement field!  Her background has involved veterinary technician skills, nutritional studies, behavioral studies, grooming skills, and hands on experience in various settings.  She loves working with people and helping them to better understand their best friend.  She takes a behavioral approach to dog training, and utilizes various methods to help the dog and owner accomplish their training goals and work together as a team.  She strives to help the "human pack leaders" understand the need to be clear and consistent during their everyday life, not just when they attend a class.  Debbie strongly believes that dog training is truly a lifestyle, not a time set apart to "train" your dog, but rather incorporating your life and dogs training so they can find a happy, healthy balance.  Debbie pushes for socialization despite the age of your dog, and believes any dog can be trained with the proper approach.  What you learn from Debbie will help you to incorporate appropriate skills into your everyday life to accomplish your goal of having a well behaved companion.

Debbie has been actively rescuing dogs since she was very young and has worked with hundreds of different breeds in the rescue field.  She currently has seven of her own dogs (six of which are rescues), and enjoys learning the most she can from observing their behavior in a pack setting.  She also enjoys working with other trainers, attending seminars, and competing in agility and obedience, when she can.  She is excited to be out of school for awhile and concentrate on her dogs more!  She encourages everyone to take an active part in training their dogs, even if they do not feel the dog has a behavioral problem.  Dog training should begin before a behavior problem occurs!  This is the key to a well behaved companion!  Again, it's a lifestyle!
